Overview

The Student Support Specialist will work with students from around the world who are in both the beginning and advanced stages of online, Jewish learning. The ideal candidate has a “people person” personality and is ridiculously diligent at recording details and managing processes without feeling overwhelmed.

Role and Responsibilities

– Receive and vet potential students for DarshanYeshiva.org and JewishPluralism.org.

– Onboard students, guiding them through the enrollment process.

– Check in with students quarterly to assess their progress and address any concerns.

– Provide timely responses to inquiries through the help desk using FreshDesk and FreshSales.

– Maintain accurate student records using Google Sheets.

– Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the student experience.

Traits:

- Passion for pluralistic approaches to Judaism and Jewish education.

- Previous experience in customer/client/student-facing roles preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with above technology preferred and an ability to learn and adapt to new systems/processes.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with a winning personality.

- Experience in Jewish studies, education, religious or cultural life, or conversion to Judaism is beneficial.

Hours and Compensation:

- Part-time, contract position with opportunities for growth and advancement in technology, education or business management.

- 100% remote with flexible hours within Eastern Time office hours.

- Four-day workweek (Monday-Thursday), 4 hours per day.

- Flexible schedule during the workday.

- Four weeks paid time off to use any way you wish.

- Paid Shabbat and Jewish holidays off.

- Paid Federal and state holidays off.

- Annual compensation of $17,000 USD (paid bi-weekly or monthly based on preference).
