About NYHS

We are a coeducational, modern Orthodox, Zionist high school, educating teens from a wide geographic area and diverse religious backgrounds in the greater Seattle area.

An NYHS education empowers students to become increasingly sophisticated thinkers, both critically and creatively. NYHS supports the moral development of our students, inspiring in them a lifetime of dedication to, and love of, learning for its own sake. NYHS believes that education should not exist simply to transmit knowledge. Rather, it is the goal and responsibility of NYHS to maintain an environment that inspires students to ask questions and take ownership over their own ideas with passion and intellectual honesty. NYHS maintains a core value that Judaism is a complete way of life that celebrates the majesty and wonder of a fully engaged religious life in the modern world.
