About Jüdische Liberale Gemeinde Or Chadasch
Or Chadasch is the Jewish liberal community of Zurich. It was founded in 1978 and has around 400 members. The basis of Or Chadasch is the entire Jewish tradition as reflected in Torah and Halakha, combined with cosmopolitanism, tolerance and humanity. All Jews are welcome in the community, regardless of their origin and family status, and we stand for the mutual acceptance of all Jewish denominations.
Our community is one of three liberal communities in Switzerland. We have a good national and international network and are active in interreligious and inner-Jewish dialogue.
