Overview

As a brief summary, this full-time position will work collaboratively with students and campus partners, create and implement innovative programming, events, and multimedia resources to foster a more just and sustainable campus community where individuals can bring their full selves to their life, work, and study at The University of Vermont (UVM) – including their religious and philosophical identities and perspectives. The Coordinator for Leadership Development & Programs will do this by:

  • providing student leadership development, event planning, community building, and related logistics;
  • leading efforts to equip students across the institution to increase their knowledge, skills, and attitudes for interfaith dialogue and exploration, ethical reflection, religious literacy, resilience, and positive community engagement; and
  • recruiting, training, and supervising student staff and volunteers and participate in any relevant campus and community efforts to represent the Interfaith Center and UVM.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience fostering religious and/or philosophical community and conversations around identity required. Experience with program development, community building, and social media communication and digital organizing across social media platforms is essential. Excellent administrative, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Desirable Qualifications: An understanding of the nature and culture of promoting religious and philosophical diversity, equity, and inclusion in a university context. Familiarity with the basic principles of program assessment & evaluation. Supervisory experience.

Salary Range: 43,000 - 43,000
