Overview
- Support the congregational rabbi in all rabbinical activities, especially in halakhic and ritual matters
- Act as Ba’al Koreh and Ba’al Tefillah if required
- Responsible for the religious conduct of funerals
- Supervise and ensure kashrut regulations as a Mashgiakh in the community restaurant or at other events
- Take over the (Russian-language) giur lessons
- Maintain intensive contact with members at all stages of their lives, especially those with a Russian-speaking background
- Take on chaplaincy work and advise members with a Russian-speaking background in their personal affairs
- Support the social department in the integration of new immigrants from CIS countries
- Act as the rabbi of our secondary school, leading morning prayers there several times a week and also providing chaplaincy services for the pupils
- Hold (Russian-language) shi’urim on various topics and for different target groups, especially for those with a Russian-speaking background
- Interested in getting young people and young families interested in Judaism and organizing suitable programmes to make community life more attractive for this target group

• You have completed a rabbinical degree (Smikha Joreh Joreh) and have a broad Jewish and very good general education
• Ideally, you also have training or relevant experience in the social sector
• You are an open-minded, proactive, trustworthy, resilient and charismatic personality who treats all members of the community with respect
• You have a high level of social competence and are used to working in a team
• You have native-level knowledge of Russian and a good to very good knowledge of German
