Overview

As the professional leader, the Head of School will have primary responsibility for all operations of the school, including supervision of the school’s employees, oversight of its financial well being, advancement of its financial resource development, growth of its enrollment, and the building and maintaining of communal relationships and partners.

As an outstanding educator, the Head of School will be expected both to advance the school’s commitment to the best in class educational standards in both religious and secular studies, as well as provide a dynamic learning environment for students and teachers.

As the cultural leader of the school, the Head of School will serve as a role model of the school’s religious philosophy and lead by example in living a modern Jewish Life.

As an institution builder, the Head of School will lead and facilitate dialogues with leaders from the Jacksonville Jewish Center Synagogue and the educational community to continuously refine and strengthen the school’s identity as a leader in Jewish and Secular Education.

As an inspirational leader, the Head of School will be Martin J. Gottlieb’s lead spokesperson, giving a voice to the school’s distinct vision and advancing its reputation for excellence. The Head of School will foster and develop appropriate relationships with the professionals, lay leaders and clergy of local community organizations, and develop areas of partnership and collaboration where appropriate.
