Overview

Congregation B’nai Jacob, Fort Wayne, Indiana, seeks a rabbi or rabbinical/cantorial student to lead the davening for Sukkot, Simchat Torah and Passover 5778. Interested candidates may also have opportunities to lead services for various Shabbatot during the year. Responsibilities also include reading Torah and Haftorah and providing a D’var.

Our Congregation is a Conservative, egalitarian synagogue consisting of about 40 units; our rabbi, Rabbi Mitchell Kornspan, has moved to part-time status. We use the Sim Shalom siddur and the Etz Hayim Chumash (triennial leyning).

The congregation owns the parish house adjacent to the synagogue for the candidate’s (and spouse’s) use. While meals will not generally be provided, the parish house kitchen (kosher, dairy only) is available and can be stocked upon request.
