Overview

The Interim Director for Jewish Student Life is responsible for the overall planning, management, and program implementation for the Lehigh Hillel. This includes identifying, engaging and recruiting participants, working with the student board and the Jewish Student Advisory Council, managing the Jewish Student Center, and overseeing budget planning/implementation. The Director reports to the Chaplain and partners with other offices on campus, including Admissions, Development and Alumni Relations, Student Affairs and Greek Life.

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, Master’s preferred
Three to five years related work experience with strong Judaic/Israel knowledge
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Solid analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
Display original thinking and creativity
Solid computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, and advanced graphics software
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
