Overview
Beth Emeth Bais Yehuda Synagogue, a large traditional synagogue in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is seeking a dynamic, inspirational candidate for the position of Associate Rabbi.
We are looking for an energetic self-starter who has an engaging personality, enjoys interacting with a broad spectrum of congregants and has experience in programming for youth and young families. The successful applicant will work with our Senior Rabbi and clergy team in overseeing and leading prayer services, officiating at life-cycle events, conducting educational sessions for all ages, and providing pastoral visits in institutional and home settings. The position also requires the performance and oversight of various ritual duties in accordance with our traditional practices.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. A benefits package is included.
Qualified applicants must be able to effectively communicate and write in English and Hebrew and must be ordained by an accredited Jewish institution. Pulpit experience and a proven track record as an educator are considered assets.
