About Congregation Kneseth Israel, Annapolis, MD

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide religious and spiritual leadership
• Instill Jewish knowledge, understanding, beliefs, practices, and support for Israel
• Create meaningful interactions with congregants and the greater community
• Foster Jewish presence in the Annapolis and surrounding area

Principal Duties:

• Lead Shabbat, Holiday, and all services as needed
• Lein Torah
• Create a welcoming and accepting prayer environment
• Deliver meaningful sermons designed to educate, inform, challenge, and inspire
• Coordinate and officiate Jewish lifecycle events
• Work with the religious committee to guide us with ritual practices, services, and holiday programs
• Host educational programs with broad appeal
• Visit the sick, elderly, and shut-ins
• Maintain an active presence on CKI social media and website
• Be available in person, via telephone, email, and text for consultation with congregants
