Are you an entrepreneurial rabbi/cantor building a new vision of Jewish spiritual community?
The Open Dor Project can help you receive the community, training, resources and inspiration you need to succeed.
The Open Dor Project selects a limited number of extraordinary, entrepreneurial Jewish clergy from across the country to participate in a community of community builders designed to address the most pressing needs of spiritual startup leaders.
Each year, the Open Dor Project will invite 3 to 5 exceptional Jewish clergy leaders and their emerging spiritual community projects to join our cohorts and receive real and meaningful investment in their visions of Jewish spiritual life.
It is required that you are an ordained member of clergy and your community is:
In early-stage development: You’re more than an idea on a napkin but less than 3 years from founding.
Open And Welcoming: Designed to welcome and fully serve individuals, couple, and families interested in exploring Jewish ritual and learning to bring meaning and connectedness to their lives.
Spiritual Innovation & Local Roots: You are creating innovative spiritual community that is serving a demonstrated local need, in a city or town where you have strong roots, built-in credibility, and supporters.
Leadership Team: Led in partnership with a core team of volunteers or professionals helping you grow your network of community participation and support.
