About Temple Tiferet Shalom of the North Shore - Peabody, MA

Temple Tiferet Shalom is a Reform congregation (affiliated with the Union of Reform Judaism), located in Peabody, MA, about 20 miles north of Boston.

Our Temple was established on November 1, 2015, after Temple Beth Shalom of Peabody (founded in 1959) and Temple Tifereth Israel of Malden (founded in 1930) consolidated, beautifully blending the respective Temples’ rich traditions and cultures into one community.

Our community is warm, caring, and inclusive. We are a vibrant Kehilla (congregation) of Jews by birth; Jews by choice; and Interfaith families/couples – welcoming all regardless of race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity. We likewise embrace those with special needs, learning differences or differing physical abilities.

We offer weekly Erev Shabbat and Shabbat morning services and observe the Jewish Holy Day cycle, led and enhanced by a strong rabbinic and musical experience. We also host numerous special themed services, like our Veterans’ Day service or our Pride Shabbat service.

We honor our tradition and commitment to the Jewish People, here and in Israel through education, innovation, and celebration. Our many annual traditions like the summer ShaBBQ, Purim Spiel, or congregational Passover Seders encourage community and a feeling of belonging and mishpacha(family).

We have a vibrant and well-established Pre-School and Religious School that serves our community, as it has for decades. Our Pre-School welcomes local children ages 15 months through kindergarten throughout the year and for summer camp. Our Religious School provides a positive Jewish education founded in Jewish values and ethics, for children from grades K-7. We also have outstanding pre-Confirmation and Confirmation programs.

Our community also enjoys an active Sisterhood, Brotherhood, Social Action Committee, and many adult education opportunities.
