Part Time Rabbi – A non-affiliated, egalitarian temple that combines a mix of Conservative, Reconstructionist and Reform theology seeks Rabbi for spiritual leader.  Temple Micah in Lawrenceville, New Jersey prides itself on being where all are welcome, all will feel comfortable, and all will be enriched by a sense of community.

The Rabbi will be responsible for providing pastoral support to congregants as requested by creating meaningful, engaging religious services, engaging and supervising appropriate staff and volunteers, and overseeing logistics for a monthly Friday night service (September through June), for the High Holiday services (4 main services, 2 family services), other holiday services including Succoth, 2nd night of Passover, Hanukkah, and other holiday services.   Additional responsibilities:  Overseeing the success of the religious school program with the Religious School Director including creating and supporting the curriculum development, organization, and programming, participating in in all scheduled  weekly classes (approximately 30 to 35 weekly sessions) and school related functions, working with Director and others to oversee B’nei Mitzvah standards and goals, develop additional youth programming (Confirmation class), develop adult education programming and adult B’nei Mitzvah; Participate in joint events with other religious denominations to commemorate, honor and recognize significant community, national and world events.  Lifecycle events - as requested by congregant or family would be on a fee for service basis (funerals, B’nei Mitzvah, etc.) directly with the family or temple member.
