Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Part-time Rabbi/Cantor, who will lead our congregation for the HHD and monthly Shabbat services located in Paducah, KY. Willing to consider bi-monthly visits.

Paducah is a UNESCO Creative City, one of only nine in the US. Located here are the National Quilt Museum as designated by Congress, The Carson Center (performing arts), Paducah Symphony, Market House Theatre, (award winning community theater), and much more. Qualifications:
  • Willing to work with a small, diverse, and inclusive congregation of Jews by birth and by choice
  • Assist those who wish to convert to Judaism
  • Provide adult education and religious education for young children
  • Willing to interact with other faiths
  • Conduct life cycle events

 

Position Start Date: August 1, 2026
Benefits:

Travel, accommodations, food, programming, and other reasonable expenses incurred will be the responsibility of Temple Israel. Direct flights are available from Chicago and Houston.

Salary Range: $40,000–$50,000
