Overview

Northwest Yeshiva High School is a dual-curriculum college preparatory
high school in Seattle, Washington. Catering to the Jewish community
in the greater Seattle area, we believe education should not exist
simply to transmit knowledge, but rather to empower students to
develop a love of learning, thinking, and giving. At NYHS, students
thrive in our warm and friendly environment that urges students to ask
questions and develop both as critical and creative learners.

The school was founded in 1974 and is a co-educational, Modern
Orthodox high school, educating teens from a wide geographic area and
diverse religious backgrounds.

We seek a head of school to lead NYHS beginning July 1, 2017. We will
partner with you to help you accomplish the following goals:

You set a “tone at the top” that infuses a positive environment of
happiness, enthusiasm for learning, warm relationships, and fun. You
employ a flexible, “can-do” customer-service attitude that always
seeks to find solutions.
You increase the breadth, depth and quality of academic offerings.
You create and implement new marketing messages about the school.
You reach out into the community to establish positive relationships
with clergy, feeder schools, congregations, unaffiliated Jewish
prospect students, and other influential community parties.
You empower current partners to spread the word about their own
positive experience at NYHS and become ambassadors for the school.
You examine creative ways to bring the student:faculty ratio to a more
financially sustainable level.
You grow our faculty and staff, holding them to high expectations.

budgets and can find bold solutions to revenue generation and
optimization of expenditures.
You live a modern orthodox Jewish life that models practice and values
for our students and the school community.
