Overview
Plainview Jewish Center, a Conservative Egalitarian synagogue in Nassau County, (Long Island) NY, is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to lead Shacharit services for Rosh HaShannah and Yom Kippur, as well as Mincha for Rosh HaShannah and Yom Kippur. Home hospitality is available. Compensation is competitive. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of traditional nusach and musical aptitude, be a team player and comfortable in a Conservative environment. Candidates are encouraged to include mp3 files containing examples of their skills along with the application.
Plainview Jewish Center serves the Jewish communities of Plainview-Old Bethpage, Hicksville, Bethpage, Syosset, Woodbury and all surrounding areas.PJC is unique among major Jewish congregations on Long Island. We provide the full service and programming of a large congregation, along with the warmth and friendly atmosphere associated with smaller synagogues.
Prior experience, vocal skills, knowledge of nusach.
