Instituto Alberto Einstein in Panama City, Panama, seeks its next Judaic Studies Director to start in the Fall/Winter 2019. Our school is the main school for the Jewish community in Panama. We service more than 1,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade and have operated for more than 60 years with excellent secular academics as well as depth of Judaic study. Panama offers all the kosher and schooling resources necessary for a rich Orthodox Jewish life including Kollel, Yeshiva, Talmud Torah, and Midrasha.

As our Judaic Studies Director, you will play a key role in the spiritual leadership of our vibrant and innovative school, guiding administrators, faculty, and students in the interpretation of Orthodox Jewish law, thought, and tradition to serve the growth of learning in students. You will continue to build IAE as an institution with strong connection to Jewish values and halacha in alignment with the community. You will be maintaining active, positive relationships throughout the community on our behalf.

You craft a child-centered educational environment built on standards and data.
In addition:

You either speak Spanish or have flexibility about learning Spanish;
You really love working with children in K-12;
Navigate human situations successfully including facilitating positive parent relations and effective conflict resolution;
You plan strategically and make decisions in an orderly and thoughtful fashion;
You are open to growing into participating in fundraising activities as needed;
You have some previous exposure to international settings with attunement to Panamanian or similar cultures.
