Overview

The Louise D. & Morton J. Macks Center for Jewish Education seeks an excellent candidate to fill the position of Director, Early Childhood Education Services. The Director is a member of the Management team with key decision-making responsibilities for the agency. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position.

The Director provides support to all Jewish preschools in Baltimore. This includes facilitating and coordinating professional development workshops and conferences, establishing and participating in early childhood networks locally and nationally. The Director will also explore best practices that encourage early childhood excellence in our schools.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, expertise in Jewish education, knowledge of the Jewish calendar and some facility with Hebrew. The successful candidate with have experience supporting educators, be knowledgeable about current theories and research in the field, skilled at developing and maintaining relationships and collaborations, be a team player and have supervisory experience.
