Overview
We seek enthusiastic and vibrant spiritual leaders — a rabbi, cantor or rabbinical student – to participate in our new Guest Rabbi program. You will lead a Friday evening service, a Saturday morning service, and possibly another activity such as a Torah study or holiday celebration. An ongoing relationship with our congregation is possible. Compensation is competitive.
We are a congregation of about 100 households, located in the college town of New Paltz in the beautiful Hudson valley. Our members come from Reconstructionist, Reform, Conservative, unaffiliated and interfaith backgrounds. We welcome members and visitors of all ages, ancestries and orientations.
Ideally, you will be an ordained Reform or Reconstructionist rabbi, or be close to ordination. You must have an energetic and creative outlook. We are looking for an individual who can weave Hebrew, English and music into your services and activities.
