Overview
The Associate Chaplain will work closely with the Chaplain to provide religious and spiritual leadership on religiously diverse campus. Additionally, the Associate Chaplain will assist and advise religious, spiritual, secular and social justice groups in their campus programming. A preference will be given to those who are a credentialed and have rabbinical leadership experience. Candidates will be responsible for planning and leading high holiday services and helping the Jewish students to plan cultural and religious events throughout the academic year. Preference will also be given to candidates with interest and experience in supporting diverse cultural and religious communities. The Associate Chaplain will be available to students as a counselor and an advocate to students, faculty and staff.
Master’s level professional religious leadership training (with ordination) required, e.g., Master of Hebrew Letters. Five years of experience in professional religious leadership in a college setting preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Rabbinical ordination.
