Job Summary
The Associate Chaplain and Rabbi will work closely with the Chaplain to provide religious and spiritual leadership on a religiously diverse campus.

This position serves as the rabbinical leader for the campus community and as the Advisor to Chalutzim, our cultural/religious Jewish student group (similar to Hillel). Additionally, the Associate Chaplain and Rabbi will assist the Dean of Religious Life in advising religious, spiritual, social justice-related groups in their campus program planning and implementation. This position is grounded in the support of students with the goal of student success.

Candidates will be responsible for planning and leading Jewish high holiday services and helping the Jewish students to plan cultural and religious events throughout the academic year. Thus, preference will be given to those who are credentialed and have rabbinical leadership experience.

Preference will also be given to candidates with interest and experience in supporting diverse cultural and religious communities. The Associate Chaplain and Rabbi will be available as a counselor and an advocate to students, faculty, and staff. This position works 10 months per year.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s level professional religious leadership training (with ordination) required, e.g., Master of Hebrew Letters. Five years of experience in professional rabbinical leadership in a college setting preferred.

Position Start Date: June 7, 2021
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
