POSITION SUMMARY: JCDS, Boston’s Jewish Community Day School is seeking a full time/in house Hebrew and Jewish Studies substitute teacher. This staff person will have primary responsibility for the Humash, T’fillah, Haggim, and Hebrew curricula across the Kindergarten through 8th grades when a teacher is out sick or taking a personal day. Although the schedule may change on a daily basis, the goal is the same: to support our students in their language acquisition as well as promote curiosity and excitement for Jewish studies. Prior teaching experience is required. All JCDS teachers contribute, as well, to our school’s rich tradition of holiday observances and celebrations.
