Overview

The UCSJ presently has its main office in Washington, DC where are employed an administrative director Nathan Fisher a GW student. Anastasia Aseeyeva also works part time in that office and is responsible for monitoring our US grants for human rights in Russia. We have an office in Lviv run by Melylach Shochet who monitors the protection of Jewish historic sites in the Ukraine and has bee highly successful in court cases on the subject. Slava Likhachev in Jerusalem regular reports on human rights and anti-Semitism in the FSU and his reports are published in our web site www.ucsj.org. Leonid Stonov a former Refusenik and a member of our Board of Directors lives in Skokie Illinois and consults regularly with leaders in the FSU and helps in the formation of policy for the organization.

Qualifications:

We need someone who can take over leadership, work in building Board participation, strengthen our fund raising, and increase our social media outreach. All of this is to build upon our long history of support of human rights and pro-democracy work in the FSU while continuing our fight against anti-Semitism.

The candidate should have a Russian language capability.
