About Congregation Shaara Tfille, the Jewish Community Center of Saratoga Springs

Congregation Shaara Tfille is a welcoming, inclusive, egalitarian Conservative congregation. Our members
represent a broad spectrum of Jewish backgrounds. The Congregation is the longest existing synagogue in
Saratoga County. We transitioned from Orthodox to Conservative in the late 1980’s and constructed a new
building in 1991. As the Saratoga Jewish Community Center, we provide various programmatic services.
Our building has a kosher kitchen for holiday events, fundraising events, b’nei mitzvot celebrations, funerals and
our weekly Shabbat Kiddush. We have a cemetery with Orthodox burial practices on our grounds and have
recently expanded to incorporate a separated area to accommodate inter-faith and non-Jewish members.
