Congregation B’nai Tikvah – Beth Israel is an egalitarian and non-affiliated congregation.

We are searching for a permanent or interim rabbi.  Their duties will include performing the ritual, educational, pastoral, and community duties for a diverse congregation of 123 family units in a suburban South Jersey community about 30 minutes from Philadelphia, 2 hours from New York City, and 3 hours from Washington, DC.

 

Rabbi Qualifications: Rabbi must be able to perform interfaith, LGBT marriages and life-cycle events.
Community Description:

Congregation B’nai Tikvah was established in 1972 in Washington Township, Gloucester County. Congregation Beth Israel was founded in 1928 in Woodbury, NJ. In 2010, the two merged into Congregation B’nai Tikvah-Beth Israel. CBT-BI is home to over 125 families in Gloucester and lower Camden Counties.

Salary Range: $90,000 to $125,000

About Congregation B'nai Tikvah - Beth Israel

We are a vibrant, welcoming, egalitarian Jewish community. The synagogue conducts Shabbat services 52 weeks a year and holiday services for all festivals. The synagogue also provides a religious school program from kindergarten through confirmation as well as adult education classes. We have an active Men’s Club and Sisterhood. CBT-BI is active in the community and participates in interfaith services and dialogue to promote harmonious relationships among people of all faiths and nationalities.
