About Congregation Beth Shalom/ Northern Illinois Jewish Community Center
We are an unaffiliated congregation of about 50 families in a university town, 65 miles west of Chicago. Our members include Reform, Conservative, and interfaith families. Our religious and educational leader must be comfortable with a broad range of Jewish perspectives. We seek leadership for High Holyday and Shabbat services and other holiday celebrations; for the re-establishment and development of our religious school; for officiating at life-cycle events; and for standard pastoral duties. We are financially stable; fund-raising is not a current need.
