Overview

Burbank Temple Emanu El (www.btee.org), a congregation of about 90 family units, is seeking a Rabbinic Intern to work with our current part-time clergy team. Internship would begin soon, if feasible, and last through the 2021-22 academic year. Activities, hours, and stipend will vary based on mutually agreed-on criteria.

Responsibilities may include: leading Shabbat morning services once a month (in coordination with our Cantor); supporting the BTEE Early Childhood Center (ECC)’s Friday morning Shabbat services (with about 80 children ages 2-5); engaging with our Hebrew School students once per month (delivering a D’var Torah, fielding questions, etc.); availability onsite or Zoom for office hours once a week to provide congregants pastoral support.  Mentorship for Intern will be provided by current clergy: Rabbi, Cantor and Kohenet. This is a great opportunity to get your feet wet in the life of a small, local congregation!
