Community Description:

Asheville has an established warm and vibrant Jewish community in a truly beautiful place to live. Our shul has a large contingent of congregants who can leyn and lead services, and is about 60% retired people who moved to Asheville for the mountains, active lifestyle and arts community. Although we are an independent congregation, we use the Conservative movement’s prayer book, Siddur Lev Shalem. We get kosher food from Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, and we are about two hours from Charlotte, NC, where there is a kosher market and mikvah access.
