High Holiday Mechina Service
Goals of this service:

Bring parents, children, and extended family together in an interactive and smaller setting.
Introduce children and adults to major themes and prayers of the High Holidays in a deeper way.
Provide an introduction for those who are new to the High Holiday service.

Job Description:

Lead 1 hour long Mechina service for families and learners  on the 2 days of Rosh Hashanah, and the 1 day of Yom Kippur. (100 ppl. Per service).
Lead a small service for families during Kol Nidre.
Create High Holiday curricula in consultation with Education Director and Education Vice President (July/August 2017).

Rabbi Qualifications: We are affiliated with the Conservative Movement, although the candidate does not need to be from a Conservative Seminary or affiliation.
Community Description:

We are a warm and fun community. Our participants love learning and are always looking for a new ways to grow Jewishly. We have a lot of young families who are looking for a meaningful way to connect with their children on the High Holidays. This Mechina service is new for us so we are looking for someone to really knock it out of the park.

Work Remotely: no

An excellent candidate would: A. Have experience leading family services. B. Be able to lead key sections of liturgy. C. Have a pleasant singing voice.  D. Be able to teach parents and children together. E. Have an engaging leading style.

Position Start Date: September 21, 2017
Salary Range: $2,750
